Dylan van Dongen
During his graduating year of 2017, Dylan collected a wide array of sporting and academics accolades at Iona College which led him to have any career path he desired. From his love and interest in the subjects of Business Management and Accounting he came to the conclusion to further his understanding of the two through the Bachelor of Business Course offered at the Queensland University of Technology.
Dylan is excited to enhance his abilities and understandings over the three years at university whilst working as part of the Harriss team. From his short period of working with the team, Dylan has enhanced his current skills and developed some new ones including:
- Becoming efficient with current Accounting software
- Co-operate as a team by using each other's strength
- A stronger understanding of business operations
- Better communication and problem solving skills
Dylan also leads the area in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds at Harriss Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors in relation to:
- Compliance & taxation
- Advising financial planners on compliance issues
- SIS Act and SIS Regulations
- Allowable investments
- Income streams (TRIS, Pensions & Lump Sums)
- Finance Arrangements including instalment warrants
Dylan's also dedicated to helping the community which is displayed through his lifesaving, lifeguarding and the leadership position he had whilst at Iona College. His other interests include, football, surfing, running and surf-ski racing. Whilst apart of the Harriss team, Dylan has completed the Women's Breast Cancer 10km Fun Run and the team has planned to participate in many more future runs.
Dylan strives to be the best he can possibly be by producing quality results in an efficient time.
Dylan was the fastest in the Harriss team that ran the 10km breast cancer fun run.
